The project
This project seeks to obtain a functional product, through a random sculptural production technique. Working with the material in a viscous state and playing with its own weight on a vertical surface causing it to flow when pouring. Several layers are applied on a mold at right angles, creating a web of textures giving it constant fluid movement, as if the piece is melting or flowing like paint on a wall.
There are two versions of this object, one as a bookend, and the other as a shelf.
The pieces are handmade at JRR Studio and each is unique given the artisanal production process.
